Ivča Vostrovska is a Czech jewellery artist trained at NCAD, Dublin, UMPRUM, Prague, and finally Konstfack, Stockholm. She specialises in creating unique, expressive, wearable and portable objects, and her work has been exhibited in New York, Amsterdam, Dublin, Prague, Vienna, Stockholm, and London where she also ran her own gallery – House of Vostrovska – which exhibited a constantly rotating selection of work from an international range of up-and-coming painters, sculptors, photographers, and jewellers.

More recently, Ivča has taken a three-year sabbatical from exhibiting and curating to focus on creating an entirely new collection of jewellery – one made entirely from rubbish.

Her work is characterized by playful, creative design as well as focus and discipline. It’s experimental in terms of the materials used and the process of manufacture. And it’s informed by both the Japanese aesthetic of wabi sabi which finds the new in the old, and the old in the new, as well as the Czech determination to never let anything be wasted.

All that glitter and no litter.

You can follow Ivca’s blog or connect with her on Instagram, Facebook, or Pinterest to see her most up-to-date work as well as the pieces that inspire her.
